Fifteen Street Studio Loves to Letterpress

Many designers pursue some form of art in their spare time just for the fun of it. At Fifteen Street Studio the art of choice is letterpress printing by hand on Vandercook presses. The company that made this type of press was founded by Robert Vandercook in 1909. These cool retro flatbed presses utilize wood type, metal type and digital plates. We love the tactile feeling of the impression created by the raised type as the rollers press the paper against it. Every piece printed is done by hand, one sheet of paper at a time. If you've done any business with us you will have been the recipient of some of our letterpress handiwork because all of our Fifteen Street Studio branded materials including our stationery, folders and notecards have been letterpressed by hand by us.
